Hello welcome back to danvsfood for the third review.
This review is of Burton Road Chippy Lincoln.
After reading a lot of good things about Burton Road Chippy
I thought they was a prime candidate for a danvsfood review.
They recently won at the national fish and chips awards 2013.
We arrived at the chippy at about 7pm and there was a big line of people waiting to be served so we decided we eat in the restauraunt.
We was welcomed and asked to pick a table and sat down.
We was given the menu's quickly and asked if we wanted any drinks.
So far very good. The restauraunt was very clean and tidy though lacking in atmosphere. I thought a bit of music would have livened the place up a bit.
Right onto the food now.
I ordered Haddock and Chips which was £7.05.
The food took a fair while to arrive and by the time it arrived i was well ready for my tea. The fish was a bit small as was the portion of chips. For £7.05 I was expecting a bit more but as any Eater will tell you it's about quality not quantity.
The fish was good and the batter was very nice too. It was cooked properly and I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
The chips was almost perfect, which in these days is a rarity.
My only criticism is not quite enough chips and the fish needed to be slightly bigger.
Overall I am rating this meal 9/10
