Hello and welcome back to danvsfood, the place burgers are taken seriously.

I tried the new burger from McDonalds today. Its the BBQ Smokehouse with Smokey BBQ Sauce. McDonalds describe it as

"100% British & Irish beef with a tomato & onion relish, Batavia lettuce, red onion, mature cheddar cheese and long rashers of maple-cured bacon, brought together with a smokey BBQ sauce, all in a Ciabatta style bun"

As with most new items at McDonalds its only going to be a temporary burger. I do wish McDonalds would expand their range of burgers to a Burger King level and keep some of the better promotional burgers as a permanent item.

Right onto the review. I bought the burger as a meal with diet coke. It was reasonable well presented with only a small amount of lettuce hanging out. Certainly couldn't class it as a BMB (if you don't know what BMB Means check out my BMB page) I like the bread roll it came in. Very soft and only a small amount of flour on top of the bun thankfully. I always found they dry my mouth out so I was pleased it wasn't heavily covered in it. The sauce in it is really nice, not to strong but not to bland tasting. The burger itself was a decent thickness and nice and warm. I liked the bacon in it a lot. The onions was crunchy and plentiful. Lettuce was spot on. Not to much of it thankfully. Overall I think its a really good burger and i would certainly buy it again.   9/10 danvsfood
