Hello and welcome back to danvsfood for another review.
This review is from the Spice Lounge, Llanfoist, South Wales.
I spent the weekend in South Wales with friends Beer & Stacy and we decided to book a table at this restaurant as we had heard its good. We arrived at 7:30 and was shown to our table and asked if we would like any drinks so I had a pint of carling which went down very nicely. I ordered chicken pakora for my starter, chicken tikka madras with chips for my main. We was asked would we like any poppadoms and neither me Beer or Stacy wanted any. A few minutes later one of the staff appeared with some free complimentary poppadoms so we ended up getting some anyway for free which kept us going until our starters arrived. I had a chicken pakora for my starter which I must say was superb. it was the best pakora I had ever had and I really enjoyed it a lot and could have eaten it again. Now onto the main course which was a chicken tikka madras with a portion of chips. it was presented to me very neatly and looked very tasty. I tucked into my food and was really pleased with it. The chicken was nice large chunks and cooked very well and the madras sauce was very tasty and not to hot or to mild it was just right. The chips was good though not hand cut but they was a decent size not these silly thin chips so many places sell now. Overall the meal was pretty much spot on and I highly recommend the Spice Lounge.
I'm awarding this meal 9/10
